With a typically amusing preface by "R. Saunders" in which he blames the printer (Franklin's own firm) for several typographical errors in the 1749 Almanack: "The was Mr. Printer's Fault; who being also somewhat niggardly of his Vowels, as well as profuse of his Consonants . . . to the utter demolishing of all Sense in those Lines."
